The Tampa singer/songwriter celebrates his long-awaited release The Walk Within, a polished piece of intimate acoustic classic rock. Rounded out by musicians who helped shape 'The Walk Within' this one of a kind night will be something not to be missed. Show starts promptly at 10pm folks.
Tonight we have the honor of playing w/ the ever so talented Bobby Lee Rodgers which is his new incarnation he is playing w/ these days. A lot of yall may remember Bobby Lee from his work w/ Col. Bruce Hampton & the Codetalkers. Our friends over at Buddy Rowe put together this great show of Jazz/Rock/Funk Fusion that should be a nice addition to Crowbar. And since it's just the 2 of us you'll get more Lotion than usual, we'll be playing a nice lengthy set that will start early!!! So come on down as Thursday is the new Friday, and we'll see you there.
Also on the Horizon...Alot of exciting stuff going on in the world of the lotion. The EP is almost finished, Owen Meats over at Short Circuit Studio's is mixing it right now and we should have those out in the coming month or two, as well as some very interesting stickers & t-shirts. There will also be a big CD Release party at Crowbar w/ many of the bands we've played w/ in the past that led up to this point, so stay tuned for that as well as another live appearance on the 'WMNF Live Music Showcase'. Until then, stay tuned and we'll see you at the show.
WALTER MEEGO - these dudes are THE BOMB!!! ever since i first heard "Through A Keyhole" a coupla years ago, i've been addicted to this band. catchy, inventive, (slightly) noisy, emotive, hooky & always fun!!! (you've might've heard their single "Forever" used in a recent Heineken ad? -or- maybe you saw that they we're on tour with THE PRESETS a few months ago?) imagine the best elements of that big room Blog House sound mixed with your favorite Indie Rock... and you'll be on the right track. definitely recommended for fans of Pop, DAFT PUNK, House, HOT CHIP, Electronica, AIR, Indie Rock, GARY NUMAN,THE BEATLES,JUNIOR BOYS, etc. anyway - I LOVE THIS BAND & i'm sure you will too if you give them a listen.
THE MORNING BENDERS - WOW! i had never heard of these dudes until i saw that they were on tour with the Meegos & Ra Ra Riot. boy am i glad i did. kick-butt, sunny Indie Pop that fans of THE SHINS, DR DOG, THE LITTLE ONES, BEACH BOYS, etc will go NUTS for. recently did a tour in support of THE KOOKS & have also played w/ MGMT, YEASAYER, YO LA TENGO, etc. if you like infectious, well-crafted Indie-Pop - you're gonna FREAK ON these guys.
ok, enough of the spiel... let's check out the bands. written by: ole feezy

Always a damn good time to play at Yeomans and we have one our favorite artists in the bay area alongside that will get things started off around 10 playing a nice chunky set of his latin-infused jazz/rock/soul stylings. PnL will go on around midnight and play until whenever they kick us out, there will be a small tribute to the late Richard Wright at the end of the night that should not be missed. See us there
